Managed all onsite and offsite SEO activities for Noodle Education while managing partnership with agency Ayima. I collaborated with the editorial team to create link-worthy content like this 67 Influential Educators piece that generated 62 links within the first month. Also, it was clear that when I came on board, the site was affected by a Google algorithm update, we managed to noindex, nofollow duplicate content to our lower level pages to push crawlers to our key money pages and not waste crawl budget. This helped us reach our 1 million organic traffic end of year goal.
When Hot Dog Collars came to me, they had a Penguin penalty for spammy links. I analyzed over 3,000 backlinks to identify foreign domains, domains with thin content, domains with irrelevant content, links that were paid, links from directories, and links from partner sites to remove the penalty. After the penalty was lifted, we saw an increase in impressions increased 265% and clicks increased 121%. And, overall sessions increased 974% in 4 months.
